About Us
FOLM
The Friends of Lake Meadows (FoLM) was formed in 2013 and registered as
a charity the following year. We have a membership of local residents and their
families who support our work, as well as a few from further afield.
Who are we?
We are all local volunteers, of all ages, who give our time to improving and promoting the park.
What do we do?
Our elected committee of twelve local people meet monthly to plan events, activities and develop our membership. We liaise with park managers, local councillors and representatives of other groups. Basildon Borough Council, Billericay Town Council and the Friends meet quarterly at a Partnership Meeting.
We have a weekly gardening group, monthly working parties and run events throughout the year. Four issues of our newsletter is produced each year
Fundraising
In order for us to satisfy our aims of providing an even better experiance for the community using the Park; it is very important that we are successful in obtaining major grants. We have been lucky enough to secure funding over the last two years to complete several projects. Click here for more information
